EVO Hinge Ankle Stabilizer

The EVO with Hinge ankle stabilizer consists of the regular EVO ankle support brace with the addition of a removable plastic hinge, which allows for a progressive step-down treatment protocol. The low profile hinge fits easily inside most shoes. The detachable plastic hinge is also self-adjusting and offers enhanced protection. The EVO with Hinge ankle brace is bilateral and fits either the left or right foot.

Indications include:

  • inversion or eversion ankle sprains
  • syndesmotic ankle sprain (high ankle sprain)
  • medial or lateral ankle instability
  • subtalar joint instability
  • midtarsal joint instability

Removable Plastic Hinge

New lower profile plastic hinge fits in almost any shoe style. Removable plastic hinge allows for a progressive step down treatment protocol.

Dynamic Cuff

Internal plastic cuff applies circumferential compression around the distal tibiofibular joint. The dynamic cuff delivers greater circumferential compression as the tension on the stabilizing straps increases with inversion or eversion of the calcaneus (heel).

Stirrup Strap

Inner stirrup strap is lined with Skinloc™ material and connected to internal plastic cuff to better capture the calcaneus (heel) and resist inversion or eversion of the ankle.

Stabilizing Straps

Nylon stabilizing straps form a figure-eight to help stabilize the talocrural and subtalar joints.
